random rainy morning thoughts
What are you here for? What can you do with this winning lottery ticket called LIFE? You have a one-way trip. Just this one. Make it count. Make it matter. Make it mean something. Be a force to be reckoned with. Listen to that fire inside… that burning desire that smolders at your core and aches to give more, to do more.
Walk the world with your eyes wide open. Take it all in. Notice the way the scent of the air is different during sunrise and sunset. Count the rings on tree stumps and watch cloud formations float on by. Remember how big the universe is and get excited about how little we will ever be able to understand.
Be patient with those you love, but decide that your needs are just as important as the people that you take care of. Be loyal to yourself first, and don’t hang onto people you have outgrown, don’t stay for the kids. Learn from those that made the fatal error of settling. Listen when they tell you how it created a darkness deep inside, and how they found their way out and began to shine.
Realize that love is limitless, a never-ending circuit that can and will branch out any which way. Forget things that limit love; like the ‘one true love’ charade and other untruths. Because loving one person cannot lessen the love for another. Be open to how love will surprise by showing up out of the blue, flipping your world upside down with its magic. Enjoy love as a physical expression and let it manifest itself through touch because words just don’t do it justice.
Create a heavy gravity by giving the energy you want to be around. A place where others like you are drawn to your gravitational pull. Invest in other people. You may risk getting hurt, but walking away from closed doors could prove to be just as painful in the end. See things for what they are and accept the twists and turns that make up your path.
Be kind to yourself. Stop being humble and share the good in you. Admire just how much went into putting you together to be You. How rare You are, how impossible it is that another You could ever exist.
That your superpower is that You are You.
“Life will break you. Nobody can protect you from that, and living alone won’t either, for solitude will also break you with its yearning. You have to love. You have to feel. It is the reason you are here on earth. You are here to risk your heart. You are here to be swallowed up. And when it happens that you are broken, or betrayed, or left, or hurt, or death brushes near, let yourself sit by an apple tree and listen to the apples falling all around you in heaps, wasting their sweetness. Tell yourself you tasted as many as you could.”
